CLASSES & LECTURE HALL
The fully air-conditioned lecture theaters are well equipped with High Speed Internet connectivity to assist in teaching which ensures global connectivity for effective and efficient accessibility to information. Students can interact by computer or video-link the facility, industrial leaders and students anywhere in the world, thereby broadening their understanding and exposure to real life situations, Audio-visual and video conferencing facilities with the aid of over head projectors, LCDs, xed cameras and touch-pad systems make the learning process inter active and enjoyable.
PHYSICS LAB
Physics lab enables students in establishing the relevance of the theory. It helps a student in improvising their practical approach towards the subject. It provides an experimental foundation for the theoretical concepts introduced in the lectures. Physics lab is important that students have an opportunity to verify some of the ideas for themselves. The notable thing is to learn how to be observant, to really see what happens, and to deal with this information with the strictest integrity. In Physics lab students lay emphasis on understanding, or learn to understand, the meaning of what happens. Experiments as prescribed in the syllabus carried out in Physics laboratories help the students in learning how to be patient and careful while taking observation and drawing the inference
CHEMISTRY LAB
Chemistry Lab accommodates the objective of better understanding the syllabus and observing the theory along with implementing it practically i.e. learning by doing. The experiments chosen develop the skills of the students so that they can measure, differentiate, and analyze various chemical processes. The chemistry lab of JMS Group of Institutions is well equipped with the latest instruments such as a digital pH meter, colorimeter, and Bomb calorimeter; distill water plant, etc. to understand the chemical behavior of substances.
ZOOLOGY LAB
Zoology lab is well equipped to facilitate the students to conduct various practical related to animal physiology, biochemistry, developmental biology, histology, cytology and animal biodiversity studies etc. Students are guided to use the instruments present here. Besides we have a good collection of permanent slides both articulated and non-articulated bones of different vertebrates, available for student practical classes. The biology museum has a large number of both animal and plant preserved specimens, stuffed animals, models of organs and organ systems of animals. These facilitate the students to study the taxonomy of animal Kingdom, and students are also motivated to collect animals and to preserve those in museum.
BOTANY LAB
The aim of Botany labs to envisage the empirical knowledge in basic and advanced Botany for the fresher, sophomores and seniors. The lab has sophisticated equipments to perform studies in Plant Anatomy, Plant Taxonomy and various experiments in Plant Physiology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Tissue Culture, Cytology, Molecular Biology, Bio informatics and Environmental studies. Botany lab provides learning process experimentation, physical experience, practicing a skill, analysis, working collaboratively etc. Collection and preservation of plant species. Students can learn and improve their knowledge in the different areas of Botany in Botany lab. Areas of Botany lab particularly focus on the study of plants including their structure, properties and biochemical processes and interaction with environment
COMMUNICATION LAB
Professional Communication Lab has been set-up to strengthen communication and group discussion skills of the students and also to groom their personality. It provides sufficient exposure and orientation to students to improve upon their spoken English. It gives ample opportunities to the students to ourish, learn, experiment and to understand different activities so as they can improve soft skills. Professional Communication lab is fully well equipped with latest software in digital way. It provides resources and facilities for language instruction and learning. It is an interactive software-based multimedia learning system that is used for imparting effective language learning pace and convenience. The main aim of professional communication lab is to mitigating and minimizes phobia and fear of communication, enthusing sensible talking to the public and raising a commanding and complete personality among the practitioners of English language. The students are trained on the voice pattern to modulate their voice in accordance with the needs of the occasion and trained according to the British accent. Students can make good practice of GIP, IP and RP variants of spoken English in Professional Communication lab smoothly.
COMPUTER lAB
Computer Centre caters to the computational and IT related needs of the academic in the Campus. All the facilities available in Computer Center are backed up by a UPS system and diesel generator for 24 hours uninterrupted supply. The entire facility is open round the clock. It is a general observation that students at the entry level graduate programs and especially the ones belonging to areas not easily accessible to internet feel hesitate and uncomfortable in using computers and its applications for the study or further. While it is mandatory for an engineer/professional to have or develop technical skills to inculcate a sound knowledge of the applications of computer and different software to solve problems of vivid nature. Hence to provide practical exposure and a non-hands working Environment to such students, the college has over 150 computers works stations made available in several air conditioned laboratories of the college building. They are fully equipped, with branded (IBM&HP) Dual Core systems and server High speed Internet connectivity has been provided in the main computer centre, with at least one faculty and technical staff always available for better guidance.
